Apuntes de: Fundamentos del Pensamiento Budista
FIRST WEEK My oldests books in my library about Buddhadharma are “MindScience: An East-West Dialogue Paperback by His Holiness the Dalai Lama (Author) , Herbert Benson and others”; and “The Meaning of Life His Holiness the Dalai Lama”. I bought both around the year 2001. Since that year I have been reading Buddhadharma, but only as an intellectual or philosophical exercise. In 2008 I discovered the “The Tibetan book of living and dying” and it produce in me a real change. Since that moment I started to practice samatha meditation every morning and to participate in retire and Buddhist course: Tushita in Dharamsala, India, OSelLing in Granada, Spain etc. One of the last books I read was Old Path White Clouds: Walking in the Footsteps of the Buddhaby Thích Nhất Hạnh. A wonderful book that encourages me to progress on the path of awakening. In my last solitary retreat last August I reed in Mandala Magazine the correspondence course of the Foundation of Buddhist Thought and I discuss the convenience of try to do it with the resident teacher of Oseling Ven. Champa Shenpen who encourage me to apply to the course. There isn’t this correspondence course in Spanish. I am very motivated to learn and practice Buddhadharma with this course. My principal and great motivation is to progress step by step in the path for the sake of all sentient beings.
